About the Role

We are looking for tutors to join our bank of tutors working with children and young people across the UK. When sessions come up in your subject area(s), we will reach out - you choose whether to take them on. You will be working one-to-one or in small groups, helping students who need that extra bit of support to get where they want to be.

This is a flexible, bank-style role - there are no fixed hours or commitments. You pick up sessions that work for you, and we match you with students based on your availability and expertise. Beyond tutoring, there is also the chance to get involved in other parts of what we do, whether that is helping out with social media, supporting at events, or chipping in with admin.

You won't need to write full lesson plans. We have a resource bank and access to pre-prepared lessons — you just need to deliver the sessions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver one-to-one and small group tutoring sessions
  • Write up session reports after each lesson so we can track how students are getting on
  • Keep in touch with parents and schools about student progress
  • Flag any safeguarding concerns straight away, following our policies
  • Help out with social media posts, event support, or other bits and pieces as they come up
  • Come along to team meetings and any training we put on
  • Keep your subject knowledge fresh

Requirements

  • Good knowledge of at least one core subject (Maths, English, Science, etc.)
  • Some experience working with children or young people - does not have to be formal teaching
  • You can explain things clearly and have patience when something is not clicking
  • Reliable and able to manage your own diary
  • Happy using tech for lessons and keeping records
  • Willing to muck in beyond just tutoring when needed
  • Enhanced DBS check required (we can help you get one if you do not have it)
  • Right to work in the UK

What We Offer

  • Flexible hours - you choose when you work
  • £13.45 per hour (Real Living Wage) with rolled-up holiday pay
  • Canva Pro and other premium apps, free for you to use
  • Training and development opportunities
  • A small, friendly team that actually looks out for each other
  • Work that matters - you will see the difference you are making

Staff Perks

All team members enjoy access to Canva Pro and a range of other premium apps to support both your professional development and personal use.
